We’ll kick off the weekend with our “Space Walk” Open House Tour. Explore the lovely new homes, cottages, and townhomes around Discovery Corner. Enjoy a selection of wine, specialty cocktails, and beer from Worthy Brewing, along with delicious food from some of Bend’s best food trucks.
After dark, look to the skies as we light up the night with a mesmerizing drone show. Witness drones performing a synchronized dance in the sky with dazzling colors and designs.
October 5
Saturday starts with a visit from our special guest for the day! Meet Dr. Ellen Ochoa, a former NASA Astronaut, former director of the Johnson Space Center, and namesake of Ochoa Drive. Enjoy remarks, get your book signed, and take photos with this inspiring explorer of the cosmos.
Blast from the past! As you explore the festivities, keep an eye out for six of our Women of Discovery. These time-travelling explorers are roaming the plaza; find each one and learn about her discovery, and report back for a prize!
Don’t be afraid to throw your name into the capsule for a chance to win many exciting giveaways. Face-painting and other kid-friendly activities are sure to keep the little ones entertained. Enjoy live music and food from Bend’s food carts.
