We’re into the second month of 2022 and your New Year’s resolution to get fit may be starting to wane. Never fear! You can easily get back on track at some of the neighborhood fitness facilities, which offer a workout to fit everyone’s skill level, interest and goals. Luckily, these businesses are located right around the corner in close-by NorthWest Crossing, so Discovery West residents won’t have to go far to get fit.

Peach Pilates: Peach Pilates focuses on whole body health through the practice of Pilates. Using the Pilates Core Principles as the foundation for movement, they help clients quickly improve posture, alignment, balance, coordination, flexibility and strength. They say “This intelligent approach to fitness has helped hundreds of clients feel and look better than they ever have in their lives.”

Tula Movement Arts: The word “Tula” means balance in Sanskrit, and this studio believes deeply in the balance between diving deep and staying playful. Tula Movement Arts offers a wide variety of movement classes for all ages and all levels such as yoga, aerial yoga, indoor slackline, dance, mom and kids, prenatal and toddler play. The studio aims to bring innovative movement practices, play and adventure to all.

Snap Fitness: This chain of fitness centers is well known across the country, with four locations in Bend alone. Its NorthWest Crossing location offers 24-hour access to cardio and strength training equipment. The gym also offers personal training, tanning and an exclusive fitness training app to help members stay on track.

Rise Fitness: The studio offers sessions with professionally certified personal trainers who have been trained in anatomy, physiology and nutrition. They understand that no two bodies are alike and work with clients to get fit at the right pace. Currently, Rise Fitness is only offering one-on-one training, but will start small group classes up again when safe to do so. They have a great selection of on-site equipment for the best in strength training.

Exercise Coach: This fitness franchise helps clients get results with just two, 20-minute, “right-intensity” training sessions per week, priding its method for safely delivering much better results in less time than traditional workouts. Each session is led by a coach and uses proven technology and scientific training methods to help transform health.

Stretch Lab: At this professionally assisted stretching studio, a team of highly trained “Flexologists®” help clients get a deeper stretch than they can achieve on their own. Their approach can help improve sports performance, decrease joint pain, increase range of motion, reduce stress and just get more out of stretching the body.

FitWell: Taking a The MindBody Fitness (M|B|F) approach, FitWell empowers people to move more intelligently, efficiently, and energetically. They offer pilates, Gyrotonic®, which connects exercises with specialized equipment, HIIT training and functional-strength training, all with certified trainers. FitWell takes a collaborative approach to exercise, striving to adapt the exercise/equipment to the individual body and each person’s fitness and wellness goals.

Embark Fitness: Embark’s certified coaches help clients build athletic skill and play harder in a challenging safe environment free of judgement. The team at Embark believes there is an athlete in everyone, and their group fitness classes are designed to provide an all-body balanced training session with a cross-training philosophy. They offer a range of classes from Cycle to HIIT and many others.

HIIT Logic: Coming soon to NorthWest Crossing, HIIT Logic is Central Oregon’s first and only high-intensity interval training gym. With two locations already open in Redmond and Tumalo, the newest location will be the studio’s first in Bend. HIIT programs can be built around many exercise modes, from biking, to swimming, to group exercise classes, and around many skill and fitness levels.

In addition to all these great options, there’s always the great Central Oregon outdoors to enjoy. You can hit the trails right out your front door, and easily make it to the area’s network of trails, parks and other recreational amenities.

No more excuses! The perfect place to keep your fitness goals this year is right next door.
