Construction is well underway in our new Bend Oregon neighborhood of Discovery West, and we don’t mean just infrastructure. Our Builders Guild builders are busy at work on their new creations, as we are seeing floor plans take shape in the form of home foundations. In Phase One, over 10 of these new homes are under construction with more starting soon.
Despite the fact that Discovery West does not yet have an on-site sales center (look for the Discovery Pod coming soon!), our sales team at Harcourts The Garner Group Real Estate tells us that a handful of homes are already under contract! Home buyers are so excited about our new Bend Oregon neighborhood, they don’t even need to physically see the finished home to make the decision to move here. We are looking forward to creating a community together with our new residents. Right now, we expect that some homes will be complete just before the end of the year.
In our last update, we shared that work had begun in earnest on Phase Two. This portion of Discovery West has some wonderful homesites that back up onto open space, as well as other sites ranging in size. We expect to hold a lottery for our Builders Guild to purchase these lots in a couple of months.
If you aren’t aware of how our model works in Discovery West, we have no set floor plans or model homes. Instead, we sell our homesites to a group of approved builders who will help us fulfill the neighborhood’s vision. You can find out more about how to buy a home here on our website.
