Skipper’s St. Patty’s Day Treats

Woof, woof! It’s Skipper here, Discovery West’s official spokesdog. You all know how much I love to get festive, and luckily St. Patty’s Day – one of my favorite holidays – is coming up this month!

Lucky Clover Dog Treat Recipe

Kindly ask your human to preheat oven to 350° F. Using a blender or food processor, ask them to combine 1-½ cups spinach, ½ cup parsley, and 1 cup peas. Next, they’ll mix in ½ cup peanut butter, 1 egg, and ½ cup cold water (or chicken broth) and blend until creamy.

Next, they’ll slowly add in 2 cups of whole wheat flour. Once combined, they’ll remove the dough and knead it into balls, then flatten to ¼ or ½ inch thickness. My favorite part is watching them use a clover-shaped cookie cutter to cut the treats and place them onto the baking sheet.

I like to run around while the treats bake for 20 minutes. After they’ve cooled completely, I get to enjoy my favorite treats, as the luckiest dog in the world!
